Broken Branches is a play that weaves together the stories of three survivors of sibling abuse. Rachel, Josh and Jade are now young adults, but the trauma of the emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse from a brother or sister still impacts their lives.
While we see their pain – and the harm to themselves or others – we also see their humour, resilience, strength and hope as they come to understand and work through these experiences. Playwright Judith Thomson called Broken Branches a “powerful, bold, and beautiful piece”. The audiences agreed.
Broken Branches premiered in 2019. We are eager to see another production one day. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us at contact@siblingabuse.ca.
